Tested with Voiceover. Only Basic and Non-visual tests performed. Visual and Read Aloud tests are contained in another evaluation. Media overlays not supported.
The tests not supported are: Print page navigation, Current location information, Image alt text, Navigation in tables, Hyperlinks, Next block navigation and navigation by headings.
Continuous Voiceover reading is supported. The reading continues across pages and also advances to the next chapter/document.

The KFX version of the test book was transferred to the Apple device using the ITunes app on PC.

Perform a search, review the search results
The search feature and reading of the search results is accessible with Voiceover.On choosing a search result, the Voiceover reading can be started only from top of the page which contains the searched text.
Highlights, Notes, and Bookmarks
Add a Bookmark or Highlight
Bookmark can be added on the current page by pausing the reading and then using the add bookmark button.
Review and navigate Bookmarks or Highlights
The bookmarks are listed in the Notes and Highlights window.
Add a note
It is possible to select desired text by moving the left and right boundaries of the text selector but it is tedious to use since all controls on this screen cannot be accessed using the standard Voiceover swiping gestures. Notes can however be added easily on random text on current page.
Review and navigate Notes
Notes are listed in the Notes and Highlights window and can be accessed easily.
The reading start location can be selected by exploring the screen. Voiceover reading continues across pages and chapters. The text being read is generally in view.
Stop and resume reading
Reading can be paused and resumed from the same location by using the two finger single tap.
Proper reading order

The image alt text is not read by Voiceover.
Change reading speed
Voiceover controls can be used.
Pauses in TTS reading
Voiceover respects the punctuations but there is no additional pause between different text elements.
Navigation in table
Voiceover treats the table content as text written on different lines.Row and column navigation is not available. It is also not possible to determine the current location in the table e.g. current row number or column number.
Navigation between internal hyperlinks
Hyperlinks are not identified by Voiceover.
Move to the next block item
Voiceover focus cannot be moved to the next block item. Text can be read either by lines or the complete text on the page is read out upon attempting the swipe gestures.
Navigate by characters
Character navigation is available in Voiceover rotor and works in the app.
Navigate by words
Word navigation is available in Voiceover rotor and works in the app.
