Summaries

Short summary

Only read aloud and visual adjustments tests have been performed.

Long summary

This reader app is listed as the "Texthelp PDF Reader" in the Google Play Store, but it also reads EPUBs. It includes a suite of tools for reading and learning support commonly used by people with non-visual reading disabilities, patterned after the tools available in Read & Write for Google. EPUBs must first be loaded into Google Drive.
The reader allows users to select a variety of text layout alignments, including left-align, right-align, centered text, and justified text. It also provides a number of learning tools including foreign language translation, word dictionaries, an annotation tool and the ability to extract highlighted portions of an EPUB into a new Google Doc for later study. The reader also includes a number of speech engines in several languages. However, the reader does not have a way to disable the side-by-side page view, and does not automatically advance the page view while reading.
