Notes Braille tested on Windows 7 with EcoBraille Plus.
Only screen reader tests have been performed. Tested on Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.8. Evaluation translated into Spanish: https://nvdaes.github.io/epub-accessibility-tests/ade/
This application can be used to read books protected by DRM. Though shortcuts are available to focus many controls, they aren't announced when focused by pressing tab. Radio buttons to select the table of contents, bookmarks or the search feature aren't presented in a standard way: the Search button can't be selected with arrow keys, and when pressing space to select a button, this is not announced. ePUB 3 files can be read in browse mode or from a reading system view. There are features supported just in browse mode, and other ones in the reading system view, but these aren't synchronized. Switching between these views can be done presing tab or shift+tab several times, but this can move focus to elements like links, so that the cursor position could be unexpectedly changed. Commands are also available from the application menu (press alt to open it). In short, the application interface may result unintuitive, and maybe necessary to switch between browse mode and the reading system view to join available features.
