Test results for Visual Adjustments
Test ID Name Description Result Notes
visual-010 Change font size Use the controls available in the application or else in the operating system to change (increase/decrease) the size of the font. The font size change should apply uniformly on all the book content including the Table of Contents, Footnotes, Page List, Notes and Bookmarks. Pass By tapping with two fingers on the reading screen and move them apart the font size can be increased and decreased. Alternatively, in the upper menu bar on the right side there is a icon for the text settings. Within the pop-up window you can easily change the font size by using a slider. You can watch the adjustment in the background synchronously. The font size of the sample text changes uniformly but the captions are not adjusted proportionately. However, the table of content, the page list, the note and bookmark list are not affected by the adjustment. Through the settings of the operating system you can find the menu „Accessibility“. There you can select „display & text size“ > „larger text“. By using the provided slider you can change the font size of the main text but also of the table of content, the footnotes, the page list, the note and bookmark list. The font size can also be adjusted through „settings“ > „display & brightness“.
visual-110 Change background and foreground color Change background and foreground colour (May be through reading system feature or through OS settings). Pass In the upper menu bar of the reading screen on the right side, you can find the text settings. There you can change the background and foreground color by choosing one of the various color combinations. In the settings of the operating system via „General“ > „Accessiblity“ > „Display & Text Size“ there are more color options and filters provided.
visual-210 Change brightness Use the controls available in the application or else in the operating system to change (increase/decrease) the screen brightness. Pass The brightness can be adjusted within the menu „Display & Brightness“ found in the settings of the operating system.
visual-310 Apply high contrast system configuration The reading system interface and book content except images should respect the high contrast mode (invert colors) if present in the Operating System. Pass In the settings of the operating system within the menu „General“> „Accessibility“> „Display & Text Size“ you can invert the colors. By activating the contrast mode the user interface and the book content are presented accordingly. Within the menu „accessibility“ > „Display& Text Size“ there is also an option to increase the previously activated contrast mode.
visual-410 Magnify the User Interface(UI) Use the controls available in the application or else in the operating system to magnify the Reading System screen. All aspects of the User Interface such as Menus, Pop-up Windows, Dialog Boxes and Search Box should get magnified uniformly. Pass In the settings of the operating system via „General“ > „Accessiblity“ the „Magnifier“ can be found. When active the desired screen position can be increased by tapping with three finger on that spot. Every aspect of the user interface increases then uniformly. However, in the magnified mode it is very difficult to select a icon and navigate the pop-up window without tapping on an external area accidentally.
visual-510 Change Font Choose from a selection of fonts, including sans-serif and serif options. Pass In the upper menu bar of the reading screen the text settings can be found on the right side. There you can select the option to change the font. In total 8 different fonts are provided, 2 with serifs and 6 without serifs.
visual-610 Support for SVG Check if a image is displayed below this paragraph. This image is in SVG format. Pass The SVG image is supported and a grey circle is presented.
visual-710 Enlarge SVG image Check if the image given in the previous test can be enlarged. Fail There is no obvious possiblity to enlarge the SVG image without a decrease in quality.
