Bookshare Reader NVDA Chrome Windows | PASS | The details element works properly |
Bookshare Reader Chrome macOS | PASS | Read Aloud reads the hidden content when not expanded and highlights blank areas on the screen. I don't think this should be the behavior. |

Bookshelf Voiceover iOS | PASS | The description is read by screen reader |
Bookshelf Windows | FAIL | The extended description in the details element is displayed at all times, it cannot be collapsed as intended. |
Bookshelf Voiceover Safari macOS | PASS | The contents of the extended description did appear in the details and now the focus stays on the summary element and correctly informs the user that it is now expanded. Closing the details did keep the focus on the summary element as expected. The content of the extended description was completely accessible including the table. |

Play Books TalkBack Android | FAIL | The details element cannot be expanded or collapsed |
RedShelf Jaws Chrome Windows | PASS | |
Texthelp ePub Reader Edge Windows | PASS | Workes as expected. The extended description is not displayed until the details are expanded. |
Thorium 3 Voiceover macOS | FAIL | The contents of the extended description did appear in the details and now the focus stays on the summary element and correctly informs the user that it is now expanded. Closing the details did keep the focus on the summary element as expected. However, when I moved into the details and got to the table it informed me correctly this Table had 4 columns and 5 rows however moving through the table depending on your screen size only the visible rows and columns will be announced, once you get to the bottom of the screen you are unable to move to the next row unless you expand you screen size. However if you start from the bottom of the table and can't see the top, moving up will automatically reposition the table so that the data off screen is moved into visual range and the entire table is able to be navigated. Note: Continuous reading with Voice over did automatically read the entire table as it moved the focus after it passed the visible range. However, for some reason the column headers were not announced as each data element was spoken, not sure if this is normal VO behavior or not. |
Thorium 3 macOS | PASS | You can click the Summary to expand the details ONLY if you do not have Read Aloud turned on otherwise it just starts / stops reading when you try to expand / collapse the details. Read Aloud will only speak both the summary and details if expanded. If the details are collapsed not even the summary is read. |
Thorium Reader 3 NVDA Windows | PASS | The HTML details element expands and collapses as expected. All content can be read using reading functions, e.g. the table reading reading mode is available. |
